John Wayne Airport

When contending for larger commercial jobs, many factors are thrown into the bid process, as was the example of John Wayne Airport. As the largest commercial terminal in Orange County California, John Wayne Airport sees over half a million passengers per month pass through its main concourse. It is for this reason among others that the Orange County Board of Supervisors and the John Wayne Airport operations management included the safety factor in their screening of vendors for a large tinting job.

The job was to tint the large arched windows at the ends of the concourse as well as a set of windows lining the main concourse.

In the interest of minimizing any possibility of passenger interference, the County of Orange in conjunction with the operations management at the airport engaged in a vigorous and extensive screening process that involved virtually every commercial Glass Tinting business in the area. The rules stipulated the contract would be awarded to the company that best proved their capability to eliminate the possibility of 'Slip and Fall' at any point throughout the course of the job and beyond. Being that the airport floor was a polished marble surface, this stipulation was reinforced by a strict working window between 11:00PM to 6:00AM.

Upon demonstrating the unique feature of the Film Star Jr that collects every inch of liner, the job was awarded to Tint Wizard on site. We believe, that it was this stark realization by the Orange County Board of Supervisors and John Wayne Airport operations management that won Tint Wizard the large contract. Additionally, the Film Star system instilled so much confidence that Tint Wizard was also granted permission to perform the job during regular business hours.

This liner is from a 60 inch x 100 foot roll, it is about 8" long by 4" in Diameter. Normally 500 square feet of crumpled liner would fill 3 trash bags.

Commercial engagements of this scale demand more from a Glass Tinter, but they also symbolize the highest degree of professionalism. It is this degree of professionalism that no other product on the market can match. Due to the fact that the Film Star Jr, and the Basic Film star are the only products available that collect liner as it rolls from the spindle allowed Tint Wizard to compete effortlessly with a large pool of contenders.
